This is an older bottling of the Original 12-year-old expression, matured in sherry oak and plain oak. Nose
Sweet, creamy vanilla with hints of ginger, spiced mulled wine, and pear. It also presents rich cereals, caramelised sugar, dried fruits like apricots, cherries, and raisins, along with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel.
Palate
Rich, creamy, and silky-smooth with warm oak and sherry sweetness, full mouthfeel, raisins, and soft fruits. There are also notes of malt, ginger, cinnamon spice, and a touch of mocha.
Finish
Long, full, firm, and slightly nutty, with notes of oak, milk chocolate, dried apricots, raisins, and a lingering nuttiness.
