Nose
Rich and dark with prunes, black cherries, blackberry jam, and Black Forest cake. Earthy notes, roasted pecans, almonds, pipe tobacco, and a savoury sherry character. Sweet PX sherry with tarty raisins, apricots, caramelized peaches, and a hint of burnt spice.
Palate
Thick, syrupy, and tongue coating. Sweet dried raisins, dates, bergamot, and a hint of spice. Dark, roasted undertones with espresso, roasted malt, leathery dryness, walnuts, cloves, and dry, leafy/mossy notes. Crisp orange bitters and a dark roasted coffee bean depth with hints of red chilli spice.
Finish
Long, warming, peppery, and herbal notes on a background of figs and dates. Fruity sweetness eventually fades, and some tannic oak shows through.
