Nose
A sherry bomb that comes across as somewhat dry. Warm sand and warm leather. Figs, dates, sultanas, toffee apple, dark cocoa, walnuts, spiced oak, stewed pluots, raisins, and Christmas cake with plump cherries.
Palate
Rich and full-bodied with spicy fruity chili and black pepper. Dry-ish with semisweet chocolate, red fruits (plums, berries), treacle tart, molten chocolate cake, citrus peel, warming nutmeg, ginger spice, and dark chocolate. Velvety texture with notes of fruit wine gums, smooth rolling tobacco leaf, and warm leather.
Finish
Medium to long with borderline oakiness, a touch astringent and bitter. Caramel, dried and candied fruits, semisweet chocolate, mulling spices, oak spice, espresso sweetness, ginger spice, and hints of plums and raisins. Lingering and smooth.
