Nose
Rich and assertive with notes of sherry, Christmas cake, dried dark fruits, hazelnuts, cocoa, citrus peels, butterscotch, and honey. Hints of malt, oak, and subtle spice are also present.
Palate
A powerful and spicy attack with prominent sherry influence, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and baking spices like cinnamon and cayenne. Flavors of dried fruits (raisins, strawberries), vanilla, orange zest, and oak are balanced by a creamy toffee sweetness.
Finish
Long, warming, and spicy, with lingering notes of dry sherry, oak tannins, toasted almonds, bittersweet dark chocolate, and a subtle hint of smoke.
