Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 60% ABV (105 British proof), from which it takes its name. The expression traces its origins to 1968, when George S. Grant created a cask strength whisky for family and friends. It was the first small batch, cask strength Single Malt Whisky released by a distillery.
