Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Litre is a classic Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland's last family-owned distilleries. Matured in high-quality Oloroso sherry casks, this expression offers a rich, deeper introduction to the sherried house style with greater weight, complexity, and warmth. Light and creamy with sweet honey, oak, and sherry. Notes of fruit like orange, apricot, green apple, raisins, and prunes, along with spicy sweetness, a hint of sappy oak, melted brown sugar, dairy toffee, warm earth, hay, cinnamon sugar, and pine resin.
Palate
Full-bodied with malty notes, toffee, and prominent sherry influence. Earthy undertones, hints of smoke, and spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Fruity elements include orange, apple, banana, peach, apricot, red apple, dried fruits, and fruitcake, complemented by honey, dark sweets, vanilla, oak, date and walnut cake, creamy textures, and cereal.
Finish
Long and flavorsome with lingering spices like cinnamon, cloves, and allspice, along with warming sherry and orange zest. It can be dry, with fruit and peppered spice, ambiguous sweetness, creamy coffee, faint Oloroso, crushed walnuts, apple skin, toffee flakes, and faint hay.
