Description

Still in family hands since it was founded, the Glenfarclas Distillery is one of Speyside's independent whisky producers. The Grant family has been running Glenfarclas since 1860, producing an individual Speyside malt that many whisky enthusiasts number as one of their favourites. The water source is melt water from the slopes of Ben Rinnes which runs through granite and heather before reaching Gl... This 12-year-old expression is matured in high-quality Oloroso sherry casks, offering a richer, deeper introduction to the sherried house style. It is known for its classic Speyside charm, with notes of fruit, spice, and oak.

Palate
Nicely malty with toffee and sherry. Full-bodied with notes of date and walnut cake, Oloroso sherry, fruit (banana, peach, apricot, red apple), caramel, vanilla, and a touch of smoke.

Long and spicy, with warming sherry, oranges, cinnamon, cloves, and a lingering sweetness.
