Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This 58-year-old malt, distilled in 1953 and bottled in 2012, was the oldest whisky to leave the Glenfarclas Distillery at the time of its release. It was bottled from Cask #1674, a first-fill sherry butt, and released for Wealth Solutions.
