Description

Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This single malt was distilled on the 25th of December 1959, which was the last time the distillery was operational on Christmas Day. It is the second in The Historic Reserve series and was bottled from sherry hogsheads #3232-3235 on 24th June 2002, with only 240 bottles released.
