Nose
Very powerful and distinctive. Fudge, cake, raisins.
Palate
Heavyweight flavours, tucked together like boxers in a clinch. The sherry and the spirit are in a perfect interplay as one flavour seems to be dominant, and then the other takes over. Treacle-toffee richness versus burnt grass peatiness.
Finish
Spicy, sappy and smoky.
