Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. For the 2017 Spirit of Speyside Festival, Glenfarclas released this special Distillery Exclusive bottling. This 2007 vintage whisky was matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask, yielding only 369 individually numbered bottles at a natural cask strength of 59.4%.
