- Fresh and light, with prominent sherried fruit, Manuka honey, and a tempting spicy sweetness. Hints of oak, pine resin, red grapes, lemon, and tobacco are present, along with notes of dried apricot, pineapple, candied nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and milk chocolate. Some brown sugar, green apple, juicy raisins, prunes, earthy aromas, and a subtle menthol or hay character can also be detected.
- Palate
- Medium to full-bodied, delivering rich sherried fruit, date and walnut cake, and Oloroso sherry notes. Flavors of malt, toffee apple, sweet caramel, ginger, cinnamon, salt, and oak are balanced by a hint of smoke or peat, orange zest, and sweet sensations. Further exploration reveals malty cereal, brown sugar, flaky pastry, weak apple cordial, marmalade, and dark honey.
- Finish
- Long and flavorsome, with lingering spiciness, including allspice, cinnamon, and cloves. Orange zest and sherry notes persist, alongside caramel, earthy tones, and a touch of citrus brightness. Some creamy coffee, faint Oloroso, crushed walnuts, dry apple skin, toffee flakes, and a hint of hay contribute to a rich and smooth conclusion.
