Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned, Glenfarclas is known for its traditional approach, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This Chairman's Reserve was released in 2011 to celebrate the distillery's 175th Anniversary (1836-2011). It is a blend of whiskies from four specially selected sherry casks from the 1960s, with a combined age of 175 years, or a vatting of 18 casks spanning six decades, including the oldest cask from 1952.
