Description

A supremely well-aged single cask whisky from Glenfarclas's long-running and much-loved Family Cask series. Distilled in 1986 and matured for 32 years in a single refill Sherry butt (cask #4335), it was bottled in December 2018 at a cask strength of 55% ABV. This Speyside single malt is non-chillfiltered and comes in an iconic wooden display case. Only 219 bottles were produced.

Deep sherried aromas of dried fruits, orange peel, polished oak, and warm baking spices, with hints of leather and dark toffee. Also notes of raisins, tobacco leaf, and cherries.
Palate
Rich and complex, offering notes of raisins, fig, spiced orange, treacle, and subtle nutty oak, balanced by a warming cask strength intensity. Creamy and sweet with sherry, berries, leather, and marzipan.
Finish
Long and elegant, with lingering dark fruits, gentle spice, and a refined sherried sweetness. Also notes of spices and dark chocolate.
