Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This is a single cask release from the Glenfarclas Family Casks series, distilled in 1967 and bottled in 2007, making it a 40-year-old whisky. It is part of Release II of the Family Casks collection, which features single sherry hogshead matured whiskies.
