Nose
A full amber gold colour. A big powerful nose, very strong for its age. Sweet, smoky and seductive, with aromas of ripe fruit and comforting spice, subtle woody notes, a hint of leathery depth, mentholated oak, orange peel, mango, mirabelles, beeswax, fir honey, vanilla, and cigar leaves.
Palate
Extremely rich and very balanced in flavour. A beautiful full whisky that complements the aroma perfectly. Prominent peaty flavours encased in deep tannins of old oak. Oily, rather compact, resinous, with a hoppy/marihuana note, pipe tobacco, tomato stems, toffee, cinnamon, leathery notes, peppercorns, and hints of ginger lemonade.
Finish
Lingering, powerful, long, and resonant. Oaky with a light sourness and gentle pepper.
