A bottle of Glenfarclas Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1953 and matured in a sherry butt. It was bottled at 49.6% ABV on 26 June 2012 as part of The Family Casks series. This is one of 408 bottles, bottled from cask number 1675. This release is described as a very old sherry cask, full of fruity and complexity, and was the tenth release of their Family Cask range.

Very pleasant, surprisingly fresh with changing aromas of fruit basket, vanilla, chocolate, maple syrup, spices, warm pepper, cloves, flamed orange peel, stone fruits (apricot & plum), boot polished wood, and eucalyptus.
Palate
Light, elegant, refined, spicy, with light sherry sweetness, nuts, dried fruit, mint, clove, vanilla, chewy toffee apples, and toasted oak.
Finish
Rich and smooth, quite short but sweet with toffee-coated apples, warm toasted oak, hints of fruit, and ripe citrus.
