Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This rare Vintage 1989 24 Years old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the 18th edition of the Special Limited Edition Series, dedicated to the Scottish theologian, Franciscan, and philosopher of Scholasticism, John Duns Scotus (1265-1308). It was distilled in 1989, matured for 24 years in selected Oloroso Sherry Casks, and bottled in 2014 as a limited edition of 2400 individually numbered bottles without added coloring or chill filtration at 46.0% Vol.
