Description

A magnificent single malt from Glenfarclas, matured for 35 years in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks. This expression is a new addition to the core range, introduced after the distillery manager, Callum Fraser, discovered exceptional casks approaching their 35th year. It is presented in an eye-catching red wooden box, reminiscent of the distillery's iconic warehouse doors, reflecting Glenfarclas' heritage as a family-owned distillery known for its traditional methods and rich, sherried whiskies. This is considered a limited release.

Reminiscent of roasted almonds, dried dark fruits, and creamy toffee, with elegant, fruity notes, creme caramel, soft new leather, milk chocolate, glosset raisins, Old English Butterscotch, and hints of fresh herbs and menthol.
Palate
Round, rich, and fruity with sherried fruit, dark chocolate, raisins, and loads of spices including ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Also features notes of espresso, earthy dunnage, dry nutty sherry tones, creamy malt, fresh bread, and butterscotch.
Finish
A medium-long, elegant, and satisfying finish with lingering notes of cinnamon, cocoa powder, dried fruits, leather, tobacco, chocolate, spicy oak, and a touch of smoke.
