This exceptional whisky from Glenfarclas is a 35-year-old Speyside single malt, matured in the finest Sherry oak casks. It is presented in an eye-catching red gift box, reminiscent of the distillery's iconic red warehouse doors. This release is all natural colour and bottled at 43% ABV. Nose
Rich dried fruits, including raisins and dates, harmonised with warm notes of antique leather and polished oak. Subtle hints of dark chocolate, treacle, and tobacco leaf. Reminiscent of roasted almonds, dried dark fruits and creamy toffee.
Palate
Layers of sherried fruitcake, ripe plums, and black cherries. The rich sweetness is perfectly balanced by notes of spiced orange, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee beans. A hint of ginger and clove adds a delightful warmth. Sherried fruit, dark chocolate and raisins.
Finish
Smooth, and incredibly long, with a lingering aftertaste of cinnamon and cocoa powder creating a warm decadent finish. Notes of sherry, dark chocolate, toffee, dark dried fruits, roasted nuts and almonds, cinnamon and oak.
