Description

Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Year Old is a prestigious Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, patiently matured for 21 years in traditional oak casks, including first and second fill ex-bourbon and a small amount of ex-sherry. It is then finished for up to four months in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks, which imparts extra sweet and exotic notes of ginger, fig, lime, and banana, creating a rich, decadent, and luxurious single malt.

Palate
Rich, full-bodied, and sophisticated. Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant, and spicy with bursts of pepper, lime zest, ginger, and caramelized sugar. Notes of fruitcake, buttery vanilla, malt, oak, candied ginger, and tropical fruit layers from the rum finish.
Finish
Long, dry, and warming, with lingering hints of oak, baking spices, brown sugar, mochaccino, and marmalade.
