Description

This is a limited release 21-year-old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the Glenfiddich distillery, bottled under the Havana Reserve label in 2003. It was matured in American oak and finished in Cuban rum casks, imparting a distinctive tropical and spicy profile. This expression was originally called Havana Reserve but was later rebranded to 'Gran Reserva' due to U.S. trade restrictions with Cuba. Only 21,600 bottles were produced.

Palate
Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant and drying, peppery, with notes of lime, ginger, oak, spices, brown sugar, tropical fruits, honey, and sweet toffee.
Finish
Very long, warming, dry and spicy, with hints of caramel, oak, and lingering exotic sweetness.
