Glenfiddich was founded in Dufftown by William Grant, who had honed his craft at Mortlach distillery; and on Christmas Day 1887 the first spirit ran from the stills. Thanks to Grant's tenacity and stubborn self belief, the distillery flourished during a period of turbulence in the industry, and has grown to become one of the best selling brands of single malt whisky in the world. This extremely rare Private Vintage was produced at the Glenfiddich distillery in 1978 and specially selected and bottled for Virgin Atlantic. Drawn from cask number 28136 at a natural strength 49.2% ABV, this exclusive rarity is one of 239 bottles and comes in great condition, complete with original wooden presentation case and COA.
