Nose
Fruit, delicate, ripe pears, dried fruits and raisins. Green apple drenched in caramel and butter, blackberry leaf, lacquered oak and well-aged rum. Sweet, oaky aroma with hints of lime marmalade and luscious dried fruits.
Palate
Dry wood, pear tartness, sherry and raisins. Succulent raisins and sultanas with a drizzle of Curaçao liqueur, hot mulled wine, gingerbread biscuits and Honey-Nut Cornflakes. Creamy, velvety smooth and slightly spicy. Rich, rounded vanilla sweetness with caramelised demerara sugar and toasted almonds. Hints of spice develop over time – cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Finish
Wood, grape skins, dried fruits. Oily pine, nutmeg and a squeeze of citrus. Sweet with a lingering spiciness. Nuttiness develops into a spicy oak finish.
