Description

Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix is a rare, limited edition single malt Scotch whisky created in 2010 to commemorate a significant event at the distillery. Following an unprecedented heavy snowfall in January 2010, the roof of one of Glenfiddich's warehouses collapsed, exposing maturing casks to the elements. Malt Master Brian Kinsman selected and married whiskies from these rescued ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, ranging from 13 to 30 years old, to create this special non-age statement expression. Bottled at 47.6% ABV and non-chill filtered, it is known for its rich and complex character, combining a genuine backstory with a more powerful style than many standard Glenfiddich releases. The name 'Snow Phoenix' symbolizes the spirit's rebirth from this wintry disaster.
