Description
A malt distillery in Speyside that distilled its first spirit on Christmas day in 1887 and has remained family-owned by William Grant & Sons ever since. The company was the first to make a single malt brand its flagship product and Glenfiddich was also the first distillery to open to the public. This is the third release in Glenfiddich's Experimental Series, a 21-year-old single malt finished in French oak icewine casks from a Canadian winery near Niagara for up to six months. Malt Master Brian Kinsman experimented with different aged malts, finding that only 21-year-old whisky could handle the intensity of the icewine finish. It is presented in a distinctive white ceramic bottle and is a limited edition release.
