Nose
Starts on grains and muesli, then opens up to mirabelles, green mango, mandarins, lemons, floral honey, dried flowers, candied ginger, polished oak, pollen, and beeswax.
Palate
Half fruity, half oaky. Apricots, pineapples, oranges, honey, mineral waxy note, peppery kick, almonds, vanilla cream, and subtle warmer sherry notes. Rich tropical fruit (mango, pineapple), dried apricot, marmalade, peppery and spicy wood, roasted malt, salt, herbal/rooty twist, citrus green tea, liquorice, and faint salted toffee.
Finish
Decent length, with fruits fading and oak spices growing stronger. Short at first, then expands with a bracing bitter edge from roasted malt, lingering. Ginger and pepper from the oak.
