Description

The elemental freshness of our coastal spirit is invigorated in Glenglassaugh Port Wood finish. Whilst finishing in ruby Port pipes, the oak's open structure combines with the influence of the sea, as waves of dark fruit ebb in harmony with fresh mint and fruit zest. For a moment, you may find yourself picking berries in a herb garden, enlivened by the sea.

Nose
Delightful aromas of brittle toffee, blueberries, garden mint, and gentle allspice. Notes of marshmallows, sour wine, vanilla, oak, and medium spiciness, with candy-esque hints of marzipan and caramelized banana. Sweet caramel, toffee butter, and light vine fruits, with malty, sweet citrus blossoms, unripe strawberries, cranberries, nutty, and brioche undertones.
Palate
Vibrant pink grapefruit and blood orange provide a fresh, zesty character, alongside a slight herbal oak background and stewed barley. Creamy with vanilla custard and red berries, followed by spice, pepper, cinnamon, coconut, and wood shavings. Velvety smooth toffee and caramel flavors, with vanilla and sherry notes, light oak, and a funky dryness. Sweet honey, orange fruit, white pepper, a sprinkle of salt, and drying gentle oak spices.
Finish
Long and crisp, with a hint of raspberry and lingering chili heat. Short to medium, smooth, buttery, and overly sweet, with lingering fruit sweetness and oak spices.
