Description
The Glengoyne 17 Year Old is a multi-award-winning Highland single malt Scotch whisky, known for its unpeated character, achieved by drying barley with warm air instead of peat smoke. It was a core range expression, often matured in a high proportion of first-fill sherry casks, and was discontinued around 2012, replaced by an 18-year-old. It has received numerous accolades, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2011, and Gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge in 1999 and 2005.
