Description

Brown sugar, stewed fruits and a Seville marmalade tang with an endlessly complex finish. Our 25 years old is matured in our slowly crafted sherry oak casks for at least a quarter century. The specially made and prepared casks in which we mature our spirit are essential to the unique flavour of Glengoyne. 100% Sherry casks, predominantly 1st Fill European Oak Sherry casks. Bright and fragrant with notes of creamy vanilla and coconut, rich citrus of marmalade and tangerines, lemon drizzle cake sweetness, and a spicy undertone of fresh oak. Red fruits, old leather, brown sugar, honey-soaked raisins, and tobacco leaves. [cite: iShopChangi, 4, 11]
Palate
Soft oak, cinnamon, stewed fruits, and a Seville marmalade tang. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel with mincemeat pie, apples, figs, mandarin oranges, chocolate, spiced oranges, cloves, malted milk biscuits, and notes of vanilla and honey.
Finish
Very long, with spicy liquorice, slowly drying. Long and damp with cloves, anise, oak, and a sour fruit note. Warm, spicy, with chocolate and cinnamon with brown sugar.
