Built in 1833, Glengoyne is a Highland distillery located near the Lowland region border, with its warehouses across the road actually falling into the Lowland category. This vintage was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 1998 from single cask #583, with 468 bottles released. Glengoyne is unique in producing Highland single malt whisky matured in the Lowlands and does not use peat smoke to dry their barley, instead using warm air.
