Description
A Highland malt distillery located in Dumgoyne, a small village to the north of Glasgow. For over a century it was synonymous with the blenders, Lang Brothers, however it was acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2003 and has been transformed into a highly-regarded single malt brand. The Glengoyne Teapot Dram Batch 4 is a limited edition Highland single malt, inspired by a distillery tradition where workers received three drams of whisky daily, often poured into a copper teapot by younger workers for their older colleagues. This batch was matured in ten first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at cask strength. [2, 8]
