Description
Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Founded in 1833, the distillery is now owned by Ian MacLeod distillers, which champions its slow distillation process and a complete lack of peat as well as a rigorous approach to its sherry cask selection. The Teapot Dram series, including Batch #8, is a limited-edition release that honors an old distillery tradition where workers were given three drams a day, often from young, first-fill sherry casks. This Batch No. 008 is matured exclusively in first-fill European and American oak sherry casks and bottled at 59% ABV, with an outturn of 3,000 bottles.
