Description
A Diageo malt distillery located in the Lowland region of Scotland, Glenkinchie quietly produced fillings for blended Scotch for most of its history. It emerged as a single malt brand in 1988 when United Distillers assigned it as one of the six Classic Malts of Scotland. [Candidate, 12] This 10-year-old expression, known as "The Edinburgh Malt," was produced from 1987 to 2007 before being replaced by the 12-year-old. [12, 23] It is characterized by its light, clean, and delicate style, aged in traditional oak casks. [11, 28]
