Description

A single malt from Islay distillery Glenkinchie. Matured in a Bourbon Hogshead cask laid down in 1987 then bottled in April 2016 by Cadenhead's for their Authentic Collection at cask strength. As always with Cadenhead's bottles, this is from a single cask and is not coloured nor chill filtered.

Sweet sugar dummies, fresh lime zest & cordial, fresh citrus juice (lemon & lime), oak wood, light biscuit malty cereal, fig roll biscuits, lemon cream, orange oil, Sauternes dessert wine, beeswax, chalk and drying linen.
Palate
Savoury sweet & sour, spiced chilli jam, pineapple chunks, peach, apricot, lemon barley sugars, oaky wood and spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, white pepper), vanilla custard.
Finish
Marvelously sweet & sour with odd estery fruit flavours (lemon, lime, tropical). The cask adds vanilla and spice.
