Nose
Crisp, yet well-formed, and complex. Aromas of vanilla, toasted nuts, honey-drizzled dates, pipe tobacco and oak spice, complemented by notes of fresh berries, plums, raisins, and rich nuts.
Palate
Lightly oily and sweetly malty to start, then spicy, with rich dried fruit hints of raisin and date. Creamy-smooth, with lightly grapey sweetness balanced by warming wood-spice. Apricot yogurt, sugared almonds, caramel, and toasted oak.
Finish
Really long, attractively drying and oaky, while lightly white pepper-spicy. Nutty, chocolatey, with hints of milky coffee and a delightful fusion of fruity and spicy notes.
