Nose
Brisk and brittle, complex with an astonishing balance between sweet and dry. Notes of crisp grape, honeyed malt, dried apricots, sultanas, toasted almond, warming woody spice, vanilla, and nutty malted barley. [2, 3, 5, 7]
Palate
Dry after an early biscuit sweetness, with enormous malt character contrasting with thin fruitiness of grape. Creamy malt, light fruitcake, green grapes, and drying, peppery spice. Initially sweet pastry notes, then drier with malt and fruity grapes. [2, 3, 5, 7]
Finish
Very long, dry, and oaky, with faint peppery notes adding spice. Lingers with subtle pepper and dry oak. [2, 3, 5, 7]
