Nose
An unusual mix of flavours develop, edging towards fruitiness with spiced plums, raisins, melon, cherries, citrus hitting home. It gets a bit Christmassy with some marzipan and dates and then gets somewhat more eclectic with digestive biscuits, Strawberry Chew, leather, herbs, Honeysuckle, fresh-cut Spruce and Harris Tweed.
Palate
The fruitiness on the nose continues to a certain extent, with pear, dried figs and red grapes, but in general is less dominant here. Things get pretty savoury - toast with English mustard, watercress, paprika, raw onion and crisp-baked tatties. The leather on the nose expands into fusty linen, rubber and cowboy boots and then things get a little sweeter with the addition of Cowan's highland toffee and a wee bit of cinnamon.
Finish
A medium-long finish, with a pretty natural impact - cloves, juniper, almonds, cardomon and honey. Then Mr Man makes an entrance with some (foolishly) burnt toast and a spot of talcum powder.
