Nose
Fat and unctuous with some resinous notes moving into Worcester sauce. Light smoke, Iced Gems, cedar, fig, stewed tea, caramelised fruits. Hints of vanilla with nuts and some oakiness. Exotic notes of oak, sultana, vanilla cream, almonds, and evergreen, quite floral and well balanced.
Palate
Very slow and soft showing real maturity. Fungal. Structure and grip. Spice of Sherry transforms into licorice, and Bourbon characteristics become bread dough. Fruits and flowers, sweet but never cloying, like sloe or currant. Polished, deep, and continuously evolving, with a long spicy character.
Finish
Fades into chocolate, dust and velvet. A full barrage of tastes that lingers for minutes. Long and spicy.
