Description

The Glenlivet Nàdurra 16 Year Old Cask Strength Batch #0808F is a single malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. 'Nàdurra' is Gaelic for 'natural', referring to the whisky being non-chill filtered and bottled at natural cask strength. It was matured for 16 years in first-fill American oak casks and bottled in August 2008. The Glenlivet distillery, founded in 1824, is one of the best-known names in Speyside and a crown jewel of the Pernod Ricard portfolio.

Nose
A fresh summer-like medley of floral and sweet spice notes, complemented by gentle notes of toasted oak. Intense aromas of coconut, cedar, and winter spices are also present, along with hints of leather, soil, banana, cooked apples, pears, honey, and a bit of musty cork and cedar wood.
Palate
Smooth and silky with the sweetness of soft fruits and buttered toast. Notes of marshmallow fluff and cinnamon, dry 'sauna-wood', cooking fruits (mainly apples), vanilla, honey, and a hint of raisins.
Finish
A long, dry finish with notes of ginger and hazelnuts. It can be a bit brash and spicy, with hints of a musty cigar box, honey, leather, dried apples, cooked ham, and a minuscule hint of smoke.
