Nose
Mellow sweet aroma of caramel and brown sugar, plum, burnt barley, dried fruit, raisins, coffee. A pleasant sherry character typical of the 70s, not overly noble. Herbaceous grassiness, a hint of cement, tar, and leather.
Palate
Sticky sweetness with a good old sherry feel, quite spicy but not cloying. Moderate tannic astringency and saltiness. The latter half is slightly oily with a moderately thick body. A well-balanced sherry cask whisky without unpleasantness.
Finish
Oily and slightly spicy, with moderate and non-persistent sweetness.
