- Nose
- Rich creamy vanilla, exotic tropical fruit, honey, and toasted oak. Deep sweetish sherry, with a hint of smoke and old leather, and a very healthy, rich maltiness. Red apples coated with caramel, malty, vanilla, pecan, lemon, coriander, ginger orange marmalade, walnut, bergamot oil, and a touch of peat.
- Palate
- Creamy vanilla, tropical fruit, honey, turning dry, leathery, and oaky. An awesome, oily wave of sweet sherry-malt intensity with fabulous complexity. Sweet and nutty pecan nougat, apples, a bit of pepper and oak. Powerful and oily, with matured, slightly bitter oak, creamy peat, mixed fruit jam, cocoa, Cointreau, and white pepper.
- Finish
- Soothing, long dry finish. Rich chocolate notes, lightly metallic finale. Herbal notes with a touch of vanilla, hints of peanuts, and a good foundation of oak. Long, fruity, oaky, and spicy.
