Description
The Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Extremely Rare is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, part of Glenmorangie's Prestige Range. It is matured for 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks, after which approximately 30% is transferred to Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for a further three years of maturation. The two elements are then blended back together to create a rich, rounded, and complex whisky bottled at 43% ABV. The distillery, founded in 1843, is known for using Scotland's tallest pot stills, which contribute to its smooth and elegant character.
