Description
A Highland malt distillery located near Tain along the Dornoch Firth. It was founded in 1843 and is today owned along with Ardbeg by the French multination, LVMH. The distillery's primary focus is its single malt brand, renowned for being produced using Scotland's tallest pot stills. This rather rare Glenmorangie was finished in large Madeira drums, resulting in a fruity, creamy whisky with a slight orange hue. It was initially matured in American oak casks before finishing in Madeira drums for the final stage of maturation.
