Description

Rare and delightful, the Glenmorangie 25 Year Old Malaga Wood old bottling is a Scotch that spent the final 12 months of the aging process in ex-Malaga casks (a fortified wine made from Ximenez and Moscatel grapes). This particular bottle features the old bottling before the packaging was redesigned.

Nose
Delicious infusion of sweet, perfumed notes of the candy shop dusted with a sprinkling of oak. Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.
Palate
Sweetness is evident early on but soon diminishes as a fruity lustre gives way to a significant build-up of spices. Very smooth with a caramel texture.
Finish
Extremely long. Peppery, then fine malt interacts with oak and just a little smoke. Perfect, long lasting finish.
