Description

Glenmorangie Spios is the ninth release in Glenmorangie's acclaimed Private Edition series, launched in 2018. Its name, 'Spios,' is Scots Gaelic for 'spice,' reflecting its unique character. This expression is notable as the first Glenmorangie single malt to be fully matured in American ex-rye whiskey casks, which were first-fill and previously held whiskey with a 95% rye mash bill for six years, sourced from Kentucky. This maturation process imparts a vibrant, peppery, and spicy character to Glenmorangie's traditionally smooth and delicate Highland single malt, balanced by creamy vanilla and sweet toffee notes. It is bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV.
