Description
Hidden in a tree-lined gorge, the Glenrothes distillery is nestled in the core of the Speyside region, a stone's throw from the Burn of Rothes and the Mannoch Hills. Producing malt whiskies using exact replicas of the original 1879 pot stills, the Glenrothes hallmark is to use Scottish barley, malted in traditional Saladin boxes. This 1978 Vintage, bottled in a characteristic, squat, bulbous vessel, represents one of the last and highly cherished 1970s vintages from the distillery.
