Description

This is a 33-year-old single malt whisky from Glenrothes, distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2021 by independent bottler Claxton's as part of their Warehouse No. 1 series. It was matured in a single Bourbon Hogshead (C21005) and bottled at cask strength (50.5% ABV) with natural color and no chill filtration. Only 207 bottles were released.

Sweet and herbal, sweet corn and vanilla, apple pie, delicate fruitiness (apple and pear tart), hints of hazelnuts, milk chocolate and cinnamon, citrus, yellow fruits.
Palate
Cooked fruits with pastry, sweet and spicy oak, vanilla warming spices, light beeswax, peppery oak and fruits, orange and lemon zest, spices, fruit compote.
Finish
Long and full of soft fruits, sweet oak in the aftertaste, mere suggestions of nectarine, dried apple and fig, long, orange zest and more fruit.
