Description

A Highland malt distillery and one of the oldest in Scotland, founded in 1763. Its modern history begins in 1959 when saved from closure by James Fairlie, and it is today owned by Glenturret Holding, a joint venture between the Lalique Group and Swiss businessman, Hansjörg Wyss. This is a limited-edition bottling of 1980 vintage Scotch whisky from Highland distillery Glenturret, bottled in 2003. [2, 16]

Nose
Clean, oaky and nutty (acorn/hazelnut/ground almond). Behind that there's soft creamy fruits, nutmeg, orange, cereal, juniper and dried grass. Very attractive.
Palate
Sweet nut to start. Well balanced with a fine-boned structure and a soft, fruity mid palate.
Finish
Lightly spiced.
