Nose
Super malty with loads of dough - strong candied oranges emerging right away. Quite flowerly overall with lavender - lime juice developing as it opens up. Beautifully fruity, with sweet pineapple and a strawberry & cream combination. Loads of very ripe mirabelles, nectarines and apricot jams. Hints of honey and golden syrup. Vanilla biscuits. A hint of sandalwood and eucalyptus in the background.
Palate
Strong heather and quite malty with heavy notes of orange peels and lemon drop candies with a bit of honey. Same feeling of plums and apricots, with more zesty fruits now, grapefruit and bergamot. A good dose of oak as well – plain oak, as well as minty notes, wax and liquorice. A little ginger.
Finish
Citrus notes dominant as malt lingers on with honey. Long, bittersweet, with oak resin, clove and grapefruit.
